Marrs Drill Team

IGNITING students with high expectations!! 

​In the classroom
​- all students must obtain A's and B's in all classes
- if students receive C's or lower, they must spend practice time tutoring
- all students must have good behaviors in the classroom
- if students have behavioral problems, they will lose practice time and work on correcting the situation or they will be placed on a behavioral plan.

Outside the classroom
- all students must have parents/guardian sign a contract for commitment to the team
- all students must keep positive relationships with team members, coaches, and RM Marrs faculty and staff
- all students must work as a team
- all students must have an open mind to different types of dances, challenges, and expectations that are given to them in and out of practice

COACH LEET
- I teach 5th Grade Language Arts and 5th and 6th grade ESL newcomers. 
- I started the Drill Team as a single coach 4 years ago, and I feel blessed to have four amazing coaches to strengthen our program. 
- My specialty is working with students on to meet academic expectations.

COACH NICHOLSON
- I teach art.
- My specialty is working with students on to meet behavior expectations, motivation, and design ideas for routines.

COACH HOLLIS
- I am the Behavior Specialist/Trainer.
- My specialty is providing team spirit and creating an overall morale for the team. I also work the behaviors of the team members.
- I named the team IGNITE because I want the team to live up to the image of fire. They have responsibility and positivity that we want to spread throughout the school and community.

COACH FUCHS
- I teach 8th grade math at Norris Middle School. 
- My specialty is working with students on details of performance to give the routine the extra "it" factor that may be needed. I also work with colorguard and flags for routines. 

COACH JENSEN

"I do NOT want perfection.
I want your BEST!"

- I teach Vocal, General, and ACP Music.
- My specialty is working with the music and the dance for the team. I also work with planning and organizating events, performances, and practices.
- I am very proud of this group. No matter what challenge or expectation we give them, they never give up!

This is at the Robotics Tournament where we performed a robot themed dance.

off of school to serving at the UNO's MLK Day of Service in 2014 and 2015.
