2020 Thanksgiving food pantries - (Use South Entrance) Subject to change
November 17-25. No preregistration necessary. Thanksgiving food will be distributed during normal pantry hours. Families may choose either a turkey or ham as their holiday meat.
Food pantries are available during the following days and times:
Tuesdays 6:30 pm-7:30 pm (November 17 and 24)
Thursdays 1:30 pm-4 pm (November 19)
Saturdays 9:30 am-12 noon (November 21)

Salvation Army: Our Christmas Assistance Programs
As the pandemic continues, we are taking extra steps to ensure the safety of everyone signing up for Christmas Assistance this year. To maximize the safety of all, the sign-up process will be done online this year; there will not be any in-person sign-ups for 2020. Please note, children served by this program must be 15 years of age or younger.

Provides 2 to 3 toys for children ages 0-17. To be eligible for registration, a form of ID for every child and photo ID for parent or legal guardian is required. IDs accepted: Social security card preferred, birth certificates, passports, Medicaid or insurance cards, school ID cards, or state issued ID. Parent or legal guardian must be present to register children to receive gifts.
Registration: November 5 and ends on November 24
Toys will be distributed December 17, 19, and 22 at the Christmas for South O party. To attend, families must be pre-registered and provide the ticket that was given at the time of registration.
Empowers low income parents to have gifts for their children (ages 0-12) under the tree on Christmas morning from themselves or Santa.
This will be a Drive-Thru event providing 1 -2 toys for each child, books, diapers, coloring books and a Holiday food box. This program serves children ages birth to 12
-Registration will be during Holiday Hours in the months of November and December, Tue- Sat 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at all 3
-To register, an adult must bring photo ID, proof of current address, and SS card and birth certificate for each child being registered. Only one adult per household will need to be present.
-Children can only be registered for Project Santa once.
-There is no childcare provided. Do NOT bring children.
-Applicants will choose a date and time for the Drive-Thru distribution.

The holiday assistance is available as part of Operation Others in Douglas and nearby counties. Based on donations, toys, games, winter attire, food baskets, and other help is offered at Christmas. Call the church at (402) 829-9236.
Following the successful implementation of our district 1 to 1 Technology Initiative, Omaha Public Schools is able to support student engagement on days where inclement weather or other unexpected events would prevent people from attending on-site. The remote day will consist of shortened live instruction and virtual office hours for students and families. Students will follow their normal A-day or B-day schedule; however, blocks have been shortened to accommodate the modified school day. Teachers will be available during "Office Hours" from 1 - 2 pm.
